The Parents

Attempt to relieve the pressure of competition, not increase it.
Be supportive of the coach; refrain from coaching your child from the stands. Remember your coach is volunteering his/her time to provide a recreational activity for your child.
Applaud good play by your team and by members of the opposing team. Refrain at all times from making hostile, negative comments about the opposing team. The opponents are necessary friends, without them there would be no game.
Do not openly question a referees judgment or honesty. Officials are symbols of fair play, integrity and sportsmanship.
Accept the results of each game. Encourage your child to be gracious in victory and turn defeat into victory by working toward improvement.
Follow all building rules and regulations and keep a close watch of siblings.

The Official

Places the welfare of the participants above all other considerations.
Treats players and coaches courteously and demands the same from them.
Is fair and firm in all decisions, never compensating for previous mistakes.
Maintains confidence, poise, and self-control from start to finish.
